Full Broadcast Flake Flooring
A Finished Floor That Works as Hard as the Space
Bare concrete can make a garage, workshop, storage area, or commercial room feel unfinished even when the rest of the space is well maintained. Full broadcast flake flooring changes that with a seamless resin system that protects the concrete while giving the floor a clean, multi-color finish.
Unlike a light decorative chip application, a full broadcast system covers the wet resin layer with flakes across the entire floor. Once the system is sealed, the surface has more visual depth, a more consistent texture, and a professional look that suits both residential and commercial interiors.
At Wichita Epoxy Flooring, we look at how the room is actually used before recommending the coating build, texture, and topcoat. The goal is not simply to make the floor look better on installation day; it is to create a surface that fits daily traffic, cleaning habits, and the overall space
Decorative Enough for a Finished Space, Practical Enough for Daily Use
One reason full broadcast flake floors are so popular is that they do not force property owners to choose between appearance and practicality. The random flake pattern creates a more forgiving visual surface than a plain solid color, helping everyday dust, small marks, and minor variation blend into the overall finish.
The system is also easy to live with. A properly installed resin surface is seamless and far easier to sweep, vacuum, or mop than porous bare concrete. Color blends can be selected to coordinate with walls, cabinets, shelving, equipment, or vehicles, while the finished texture can be adjusted to suit the room.
For garages and working spaces where additional traction matters, the topcoat can be specified with a more textured profile. No coated floor should be treated as completely slip-proof, but the system can be tailored to provide a sensible balance of traction, comfort, and cleanability.

A Strong Fit for Garages, Workshops, and Commercial Interiors
Full broadcast flake flooring is versatile, which makes it a good fit for many concrete spaces that need to look finished without becoming difficult to maintain. Residential garages are a natural choice, but the same system can also work well in workshops, basements, utility rooms, showrooms, storage areas, and light-commercial interiors.
For commercial properties, we consider foot traffic, rolling equipment, cleaning methods, moisture exposure, and the amount of downtime available. For residential spaces, design preferences and day-to-day use often play a bigger role. Either way, the floor system should be chosen around the environment rather than applied as a one-size-fits-all coating.

The Finished Floor Starts With the Concrete Underneath
Good-looking coatings can fail early when the surface underneath is not prepared correctly. That is why we treat concrete preparation as part of the flooring system, not as a quick step before color goes down. The slab is evaluated for existing coatings, contamination, cracks, damaged areas, and other conditions that may affect adhesion or finish quality.
From there, the concrete is mechanically prepared, repairs are addressed where appropriate, and the resin system is installed in controlled stages. The exact schedule depends on the coating chemistry, site conditions, and the condition of the floor. We would rather plan the project properly than rush preparation just to promise a universal cure time.
That prep-first approach is what helps the decorative finish look consistent and gives the coating system the foundation it needs to perform as intended.
